Modifying an Order

Overseas Orders
For deliveries outside of the UK, please telephone us to discuss your order. Shipping charges will be quoted on an individual order basis. Please be aware that we are unable to accept online orders for delivery outside of the UK.
Delivery Charges
All our prices are fully inclusive of VAT (sales tax). There will be no additions to the advertised price of our products for VAT or other taxes. The price you see is the price you pay. Please note we are required by law to collect VAT regardless of where in the world you are when placing your order.
A delivery charge of £6.99 is valid for any orders for bare root plants or pots up to 7.5L. For larger pots and specimen plants additional charges MAY need to be made according to the size of plants and distance from the Nursery and the total value of the order. Most orders for large specimen plants will be delivered by our own vehicles within 150 miles.. Please contact us for quotation.
Delivery Policy
In the normal course of business deliveries are usually made in the UK within 20 working days, subject to season and weather conditions. Please enter the full address including the postcode of the recipient.
We will not be held responsible for items that are not delivered due to incorrect details being supplied.
Carriage
Our plants are normally sent by our own vehicles or by carrier. We will advise you of the delivery date priory to the despatch of the plants. If you are not able to be available to receive the delivery you must inform us in writing of a designated safe place where the plants can be left. If our carrier leaves the plants in a designated safe place - without a signature, we cannot be held responsible if the goods go missing after delivery. We can arrange a next day delivery at an additional cost.
Order Confirmation
You will receive an email notification of confirmation of your order with Golden Hill Plants. Please use the transaction ID number in any further correspondance with us regarding your order (for example if you are calling to arrange a specific delivery date and time.
Failed Delivery
Unless you have been contacted by the Nursery staff and advised of a delay, we would request that customers advise us within two days in the event that the goods have not arrived by the date they were expected.
If goods are damaged on arrival, packaging must be retained and the Nursery advised within two days from receipt of the parcel. Please note that we are unable to accept liability for damaged or lost goods if these conditions are not adhered to.
Substitution Policy
Our primary objective when we receive an order from you is to ensure that we deliver the requested items and that we deliver a fresh quality product of the type and value ordered.
In the unlikely event of supply difficulties, Golden Hill Plants reserves the right to substitute any product with any other type of equal or greater size and value.

Cancelling an Order
If you wish to cancel an order please contact us on 01622 833218 as quickly as possible. Please note that we can accept order cancellations at any time prior to dispatch.
We can easily cancel your order if it has not already been despatched. Should you wish to cancel your order and receive a refund, you must confirm this in writing within 2 working days of receipt and return the packaged item to us at the address given above. The item(s) must be returned to us unused and in as new condition. You will be liable for all postage costs incurred as a result of returning an item to us.
We cannot issue a refund until we have received the goods. We recommend you obtain proof of posting when you return any goods to us.
Warranty
All of our plants are despatched in perfect condition. However, in the unlikely event that you are unhappy with the plants that you have received please advise us immediately.
Due to the perishable nature of the plants refunds will only be made if the goods are returned to the Nursery, properly packed and are received within 3 days.
Despite our best endeavours to supply good healthy stock, it is still possible for them to fail to thrive. For example if they do not receive sufficient care or are planted in unsuitable conditions or not watered properly. When newly transplanted they are more susceptible to diseases or adverse weather conditions than existing established plants. With this in mind we are unable to accept responsibility for failures. Should any failures occur we would consider any such claim on an individual basis provided we are notified in writing. This must be received before the end of July. We would normally offer to replace the plants for the following autumn at a reduced cost of 50% of the list price plus any carriage charge. Please note that this offer in no way effects your statutory rights.
Making a Complaint
If you have cause for complaint this must be received within 24 hours of taking delivery. We will happily:
1. Provide you with a replacement, or
2. Collect the product and give you a full refund.
